Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes (2024)

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes honors outstanding young leaders (ages 8–18) in the U.S. and Canada who have made a positive impact on their communities or the environment.  The award annually recognizes 25 inspiring youth with a $10,000 prize to support their service projects or higher education. The prize celebrates young people who demonstrate courage, compassion, and a commitment to making the world a better place.

Youth Can Innovate Grand Award - Canada Wide Science Fair 2024 (Top 4 Senior Projects)

Youth Can Innovate Awards recognize exceptionally innovative and original science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) projects that demonstrate a practical application in advancing the economic, medical, social or environmental well-being of society. Won for my project, Deep Learning for Marine Mammal Conservation: Multi-Species Detection and Underwater Noise Assessment

Young Astronomers Award 2023, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada

The Young Astronomers Award is awarded to youth members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada who have made significant contributions at either the National and/or Centre levels.  https://www.rasc.ca/young-astronomers-award

Second Grand Award, International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2022, Atlanta

Won the award for my project MonitorMyOcean.com which measures the acoustic impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on underwater noise levels in global oceans. I was first selected as one of the 7 members of Team Canada and ended up winning a second grand award in the environmental science category at ISEF.

European Union (EU) Youth for Ocean Research Award 2022 and Travel Funding for UN Ocean Conference

Won the award for my project www.MonitorMyOcean.com to measure the acoustic impact of COVID-19 lockdown on underwater noise levels in global oceans using hydrophone data. The award included travel funding to present my project at the 2022 UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

RISE Global Winner 2021 for Lifelong Support and Undergraduate Funding, Schmidt Futures and Rhodes Trust

Rise is an initiative of Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust that selects brilliant people who need opportunity and supports them for life as they work to serve others. I was one of a hundred inaugural 2021 Rise Global Winners selected from a highly competitive application process that received 50,000 applications worldwide.

Gold Medal and Actuarial Award, Canada Wide Science Fair 2021, Fredericton

Won the award for my project, www.MonitorMyLockdown.com, which analyzes subsurface seismic vibrations to measure the effectiveness of COVID-19 lockdowns in reducing human movements in Canadian cities.
